The application deadline for Australian Youth Orchestra's 2009 Programs has just been extended until this Friday 20 June - so there is still time for your students to apply!
With eligibility from AMEB Grade 6 to AMusA and above, AYO programs range from those suitable for students who are starting to show signs of a strong musical future, to those on the verge of a professional career – and all programs are designed to complement your student’s current music education.

Music Director Elizabeth Wallfisch AMEB Grade 6 or equivalent and above This program offers 12 to 17 year olds the opportunity to explore a broad spectrum of string chamber orchestra repertoire and to develop their skills in orchestral playing. APPLY NOW
AMEB AMusA or equivalent and above In 2009, fellowships are being offered across the full range of orchestral instruments; strings with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and wind, brass and percussion with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. APPLY NOW
Music Director David Elton AMEB Grade 6 or equivalent and above This program introduces 12 to 17 year olds to core symphonic wind, brass and percussion repertoire, as well as to the world of chamber music through participation in wind quintets, brass and percussion ensembles. APPLY NOW
